Korean Buddhist Nun, Yeongseonsa Temple (Daejeon, Korea)

Venerable Beopsong, born Misook June, is abbot of Yeongseonsa Temple in the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and a Buddhist nun dedicated to preserving and sharing the traditions of Korean temple food. She is the author of four cookbooks inspired by nature, seasonal ingredients, and the philosophy of temple cuisine: A Table Filled with Nature, A Table Filled with the Sea, A Table Filled with Roots, and Morning Porridge. She has taught Korean temple food at Le Cordon Bleu and Korean Cultural Centers in Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
