Justin Kreft is a master’s in culinary arts degree student at the Culinary Institute of America. Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, he discovered his passion for Southern cuisine and hospitality during high school culinary arts classes. Despite having no prior restaurant experience, he enrolled at the CIA, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact through food.
During his time at the CIA, Justin completed an externship at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee, where his interest in sustainability and Southern culinary traditions deepened. Following graduation, he joined The Inn at Little Washington, where he has spent over three years honing his skills across various kitchen stations, including PattyO’s Café, under the mentorship of acclaimed chefs.
As a current master's student, Justin continues to challenge himself professionally while remaining grounded in his values. Outside the kitchen, he enjoys the outdoors, dining out, and spending time with loved ones. His faith remains central to his life and work, guiding his commitment to excellence and service.
