Offered exclusively as a special add‑on for registered guests of Worlds of Flavor: Asia on Our Menus—East by Southeast, this rare experience invites you into the serene hillsides of Joseph Phelps Vineyards in St. Helena for an afternoon where place, flavor, and philosophy converge. Framed by sweeping vineyard views, the visit begins with a conversation on land stewardship—how regenerative farming practices, patience, and time give rise to wines of uncommon depth and grace.
At the table, Executive Chef Tod Kawachi leads an intimate food and wine pairing that draws from the Japanese and other Asian flavors he grew up with—and refined through decades of pairing wine with cuisine across Napa, Hawaii, and beyond. You will enjoy seasonal, Asian‑forward bites designed to pair seamlessly with Joseph Phelps Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast wines, culminating in the latest vintage of Insignia, the winery’s iconic flagship and a benchmark of Napa Valley winemaking.

Cancellations are permitted up to 30 days in advance of the conference, and tuition will be refunded for these activities minus a $50 administrative cancellation fee.
