Chandra Ram ‘99 is an award-winning writer, editor, cookbook author, and culinary trend-spotter. She publishes Another Bite with Chandra Ram on Substack, after spending twenty years working in media as the food director of Food & Wine, the editor-in-chief of Plate, and writing for publications including Epicurious, Food52, and Gravy. Chandra has been featured in the New York Times, Good Morning America, and the Chicago Tribune, and was nominated for James Beard and IACP awards. She’s won awards including IACP Member of the Year, the McAllister Editorial Fellowship, several Jesse H. Neal awards and Folio awards, and an Association of Food Journalists award. @chandrasplate
