Brigid Ransome-Washington '12 is the author of two Caribbean inspired cookbooks. She is a food writer, recipe developer, and teacher. She is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, where she was also the editor in chief of the monthly campus newspaper, La Papillote. She was also a visiting chef instructor at the Teaching and Research Kitchen at her alma mater, North Carolina State University. Her essays and recipes have appeared in Bon Appetit, Epicurious, Food & Wine, Parents, Real Simple, Southern Living, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and many other national publications. She is a dual citizen of Trinidad & Tobago and the United States.
