Trevor MacKenzie

Managing Director and Partner, Excuisine Global (Bangkok, Thailand)

Trevor MacKenzie is managing director and partner at Excuisine Global, the world's leading Thai restaurant franchise company. He has gone from cowboy in the Canadian Rockies to one of Thai food's most passionate ambassadors. Bangkok-based, he has helped open more than one-hundred restaurants across Asia, the Middle East, and the US, and has spent twenty-four years taking Mango Tree, one of the world's leading Thai restaurant brands, global. He also leads its Thai hotpot sister brand, COCA.

His passion has taken him to fifty-five of Thailand's seventy-seven provinces, learning from local cooks and seeking out dishes rarely found outside their region, from the fiery salads of the northeast to the turmeric-rich curries of the south. That fieldwork shapes Mango Tree's mission: bringing Thailand's regional food culture to the world.

Mango Tree's honors include a Michelin Plate in Guangzhou (2019–2024) and Thailand's Prime Minister's Export Award. From the saddle to the wok, it has been an unlikely journey, and one he is still traveling.
