Ji Hye Kim is the award-winning chef and owner of Miss Kim in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs and a five-time James Beard Award semifinalist, Ji Hye is a leading voice in evolving the narrative of Korean cuisine. Her culinary philosophy balances ancient Korean recipes with the bounty of seasonal Midwestern ingredients. From her signature Street and Royale Style tteokbokki to regional bibimbap variations that explore North Korean traditions and Buddhist temple cooking, her menus highlight the diversity of the Korean peninsula. After honing her craft through Zingerman’s and the Rome Sustainable Food Project, she has garnered national acclaim for her historical storytelling and interpretation of Korean flavors.
