Haera Shin has served as the influential beverage director for the Momofuku restaurant group, where she created notable cocktails including the K-Margarita and the Sesame Manhattan. She plans to open her own highly anticipated bar in New Orleans at the end of 2026. Here she will feature modern Korean cocktails from her upcoming book, Korean Cocktails: From Traditional Spirits to Modern Drinks (WW Norton), which explores the history of Korean drinking culture and features more than seventy-five recipes that bridge traditional spirits such as soju and makgeolli with modern technique.
