Sonoma County Fire Update
You may have seen recent media coverage of the Kincade Fire currently centered 60 miles northwest of downtown Napa, in the next county over from us, Sonoma. Thankfully there are no fires burning in Napa County and there has been no impact to our California campus.
We are happy to report that all CIA students and staff are safe, and that all CIA campus property—including our CIA at Copia facility and the site of this year’s Worlds of Flavor are operating with business as usual along with the rest of downtown Napa. We are very excited to welcome you to the Napa Valley for educational and stimulating presentations and tastings highlighting global cuisines from the Mediterranean, Middle East, and South Asia, November 6-8.
While the Kincade Fire does not pose a threat to the CIA or our Worlds of Flavor conference, we will continue to monitor the situation, and we want to reassure you that it is safe to travel to the Napa Valley for the conference.
You will be receiving additional details and final logistics information for attending the conference in the coming days. We appreciate your sustained support for the CIA, and your thoughts and concern for those afflicted by the wildfire in Sonoma County. If you have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com.
We look forward to seeing everyone for an incredible three days of global culinary exploration!
